HELP!! My makeup's too HOT for my work place!!

I used to work with an organization that wasn't so particular about formal dressing, however the game was to look smart. Smart dressing, smart makeup, nothing over the top yet beautiful.
Most young women however still are unable to get it right. Looking competent and professional is incredibly important. Although that might mean putting down the glittery eyeliner, it doesn’t have to mean bare-faced beauty. Studies have shown that women who wear make-up to work are more likely to get promoted and I think I can attest to that ;).
The trick is finding a look that enhances your natural beauty.
Here are a couple of ground rules for a workplace safe look:
  1. It has to stand the test of time; you don’t want to have to keep retouching your look when you have to dash from meeting to meeting.
  2. It has to be low-maintenance and easy enough for you to be able to complete in a rush. Some people might be prepared to spend 30 minutes doing their face in the mornings, but I’d rather spend an extra 20 minutes stretching my limbs and 10 minutes doing my face.
  3. It should enhance, and not hide who you are.
  4. It shouldn’t be distracting; remember, you want people to be listening to what you’re saying without being mesmerized by your hot pink lipstick.
  5. It should make you feel both comfortable and amazing..

Eyes

-Get a good eye primer as this will help your shadows stay on longer. Your concealer would help a great deal also.
- Next get your hands on subtle colors and stay away from the glitters. Leave those for the weekends.
- liquid liner for the top eyelid and a dark colored liner at the bottom eyelid will be fantastic.
- Don't forget your mascara. Go for the lengthening or volumizing depending on how scanty, full or long your lashes are. Remember not to over clog them.

Eyebrows

Next, eyebrows are another of the best ways to show off what a professional chica you really are because they frame your face. Keeping them neat and tidy is well worthwhile. Don’t overpluck either, girls. Strong brows are a gorgeous look. I’ll either fill mine in with an eyebrow powder/filler and use a brow pencil to set. Now you can get moves like Jaga @our brow clinic.

Lips

With lip color, you have a little bit more freedom to express yourself than you do at work with eye colors, as long as they aren’t too distracting. So whatever you do ladies, aim at looking smart and beautiful cause you know "U is BEAUTIFUL"

      "And my home's pretty too..."

I'm going to share with you some simple tips that'll make your home beautiful.
Everyone wants to come back to a home beautiful and comfortable no matter how small the space. You really don't need all the money in the world to achieve that, all you need is to adjust a few pieces in your space.

      • Kick your traditional coffee/center table to the curb.
      • Gold is back in a big way. A few accents will warm up a room.
      • Nothing softens a lonely corner in a big room like a potted tree.
      • The most indestructible fabric for dining chairs is leather or vinyl especially if you want the. In white.
      • For your kitchen: Glass-front cabinets provide great incentives for forcing you — and your family — to be organized. Any clutter or dishware put back in the wrong place will be visible. Try storing everyday dinnerware above the work surface, while hiding the clutter of pots and clutter behind closed doors.
Hope these few tips help, more will come your way soon.
Remember, keep your space as beautiful as you!

Do drop a post and let me know what you think... Stay beautiful!

      Finally a face lift.

I can't help the feeling that I feel! That feeling I get when I have something new, a feeling of sheer joy...
WHAT?  I just got me a new face:)!!
And I ain't talking about a face lift via surgery or Botox . Lol no! I got me a natural face lift.
How? Well after a few weeks of stress and mega work! Work and more work! I noticed some rashes and pimples on my beloved face:(
Now how was I to get past this? Imagine you're consulting with a client and you get to the point of advising the client about her skin and facial care, then they look at your face with that crooked eye... And, wait for it... "really?" Who's going to take your word for it? #raised eyebrows.
So with much prayers and a simple routine, I got my smooth face back again.
      Here's what I did in just 4days
      - I used a baby wipe to get makeup and dirt off my face after a long day
      - I washed my face in the mornings and evenings
      - I used a face scrub only in the mornings ( 2 days only. You don't want your face all sore and irritable)
      - Rinsed my face after scrub. ( you feel your pores open up afterwards)
      - Applied honey on my face for 20 mins and rinse off in the evening before bedtime.
      - Finally I moisturised with my daily moisturiser.
      - I allowed my face breathe without foundation or powder for 2days
Yes it worked! Nothing toxic or harsh applied to my face and thus I got my facelift;)

Please hit me up and share if you have had a similar lift!
Thanks for dropping by . Stay beautiful!
